Jean Lanéry’s life and death
she proudly took the book out of its shelf and handed it to me. the paper was rough and held with a plastic binding bar. the picture of my great-grand father was surrounded by an oval frame and its pixellated shadow.
Interested in transmission through generations, I offered my grand mother to design the book about my great grandfather they have been writing with my grandfather since the late 80s. Histoire de Jean Lanéry (1890 - 1963) is a 350 pages book, composed of pictures, postcards’ extracts and other archive documents, that enabled us to construct a physical witness of our family’s history.
