their wedding” is a short film that plays with the limit between documentary and fiction as it draws an imaginary narrative of a very real setting: that of a consumer society based on the orchestration of the displacement of its goods. She has presented her work in group exhibitions, at the&nbsp;Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles, at the Galerie Dohyang Lee in Paris, with the Gruppe Motto in Hamburg (Germany), at the Galerie du Lieu in Rennes, and at the Maison Populaire in Montreuil. &nbsp; In the audiovisual installations, performances, and books I produce, I research how belief systems—economic, political, religious, or personal—shape our emotions and desires. These systems appear to me as power structures based on a continuous production of intertwined expectations and disappointments, where promises and frustrationsfeed off each other. Based on both theoretical and empirical research,I collect visual and textual fragments: documentary recordings, photographic series, interviews, but also phrases extracted from our media landscapes. Examining the very materialityof images and discourse, I seek to identify the affects provoked by contemporary dogmas in relation to the mechanisms of persuasion and the devices of illusion that make such dogmas effective. The composition of these heterogeneous fragments involves repetition, subtraction, superimposition, juxtaposition, and displacement. These editing operations produce frictional and deceptive scenarios, where narratives dialogue and contradict each other. There, I explore non-linear documentary and fictional forms with multiple entry points, inviting viewers to experience doubt, confusion, and disillusionment. The installation stages four stories of&nbsp;disillusionment, oscillating between trust&nbsp;and underlying deception. The fictional voice of&nbsp;an insurance call center employee is juxtaposed&nbsp;with the story of her breakup, but also scientific&nbsp;discourse on the natural reproduction&nbsp;of orchids, and fragments of commercial&nbsp;discourse promoting their commodification. These texts (printed in small books and&nbsp;performed by Margot du Jonchay) resonate&nbsp;with images filmed in greenhouses in the&nbsp;Netherlands, where I have chased the process&nbsp;of artificially coloring blue orchids. In a&nbsp;fragmentary narrative, contradictory emotions&nbsp;emerge. The standardization of the objects we&nbsp;buy confronts that of our language and that of&nbsp;our working days.
